FutureLife continue to strengthen its position in Ireland with acquisition of Galway Fertility Clinic

June 6, 2017

Galway Fertility Clinic, one of the country’s leading fertility treatment providers, has been acquired by one of the largest player in reproductive medicine FutureLife. The transaction was conducted through ReproMed, FutureLife’s Irish subsidiary and a national provider of comprehensive fertility services, which the Group acquired last year.

Galway Fertility Clinic was founded in 1994 in Galway University Hospital and relocated to a state-of-the-art facility in the West of the City in 2009. The clinic has developed a reputation for being at the forefront of assisted reproduction in Ireland and it is this, combined the depth of expertise amongst its staff and the ethos of the clinic that made it an ideal partner for FutureLife.

Dr Declan Egan, Founder and Director of Galway Fertility Clinic will remain on as an ambassador for the clinic and is committed to working within this group as part of a national and international network of Fertility Clinics. Declan Egan commented that he is “very excited for the clinic to be part of a larger group to develop egg donation and genetic services for patients going forward. This move is a testament to the staff, their patient focus, hard work and excellent results.”

FutureLife founder and co-owner Jozef Janov adds: “For us, partnering with Galway Fertility Clinic was always priority, as we wanted to have national network and we have been following successes of Dr Declan Egan and his team for long time.”

With the successful acquisition of Galway Fertility Clinic, FutureLife became through ReproMed the second largest provider of Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) in Ireland and continue fulfilling its investment goals when entering the country.

Declan Keane, CEO of ReproMed commented, “we are delighted that Galway Fertility Clinic has become part of ReproMed’s expanding national network of fertility clinics which are at the forefront of ART services in Ireland. Galway Fertility Clinic’s reputation for patient care and results makes it an ideal partner for ReproMed.”
